The Contemporary Art Society (CAS) was formed in 1962 with a mission to assist the Indianapolis Museum of Art to actively acquire art made after 1945. CAS has grown into a broad community of individuals committed to learning about the world of contemporary art through educational programs, special events and travel.


MISSION

The Contemporary Art Society fosters ways of seeing, thinking and imagining that expand critical discussions about contemporary art, support Museum and curatorial goals, and results in the acquisition of contemporary art for the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
